Adapted from a recipe by Ina Garten
2 cups fresh snap peas, chopped in bite-size pieces
1–2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, minced (optional)
½ teaspoon green garlic, finely minced (optional)
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
- Before chopping snap peas, pull on stem end to remove stem and string from each pea.
- Toss fresh snap peas with sesame oil, basil and/or garlic (if using), then top with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
Serves 2–3 as an appetizer or side. Prep time, 5–10 minutes.
