So, speaking of Happy New Pear - I'm absolutely head over heels recently for the French Butter Pears from Stillwater Orchards in Courtland, CA. Our West Coast customers will find these in their crates as well as Bartlett, Comice, and Bosc pears, all from Stillwater Orchards. East Coast and Midwest customers will see gorgeous Red and Green D'Anjous. Start the year with nutrition galore - a single pear can provide up to 24% of your recommended daily allowance of fiber, as well as healthy amounts of Potassium and Vitamin C.
East Coast customers should also look out for the first Blood Oranges of the year, lovingly procured by Bloodhound Gang Benn, our fruit buyer who encourages customers to count "3-2-1-Contact" as they place the red segments in their mouth. Remember, you can always check out your regional mix here.
Enjoy and be Fruitful, and have a Happy New Pear (or Blood Orange) in the New Year!
