How FruitGuys Wellness Works for You

It’s where you live, work, learn and give: For 12 years we’ve been delivering fresh fruit to offices as a way to help keep employees at worksites healthy. Then it hit us – sure folks spend lots of time at work but staying healthy is about staying consistent – especially with your diet and physical activity. We needed to come up with a way to help people access fruits and veggies in all the places they are during their day. Thus our home, school and gift programs began to bloom. Throughout our website you may see some maps that we ask you to click on to determine what products you see. This is because we believe in trying to localize as much as we can about our fruit and veggie mixes and thus work with different farmers by region (season permitting). You’ll be able to see what’s in your mix by area. We’ve also tried to make it easy for you on an administrative level by creating a structure that allows for standing orders and emailable billings. Offices: If you’re at the office and want to replace the unhealthy junk food in your break-room with healthy fruit, or if you just want to add a healthy option for those end of the month birthday celebrations, then our Office fruit program is for you. Learn more about fruit for the office.

General Information and Policies

Ordering Is Easy!

Standing orders: Most of our business works on a standing order basis. That means that you can set up an order and schedule it to come every day, every week, every other week, once a month or on a schedule of your choosing. We’re of course happy to work with you for one time orders but at our core we’re relationship people and would love to have you as part of the FruitGuys family. Plus you’ll save on administrative and management costs by setting up something that is recurring rather than having to go back to a website and constantly have to put in your new order every week.

Online ordering: If you are ordering for office (company) or home (individual) use, for your college Student at school, or for a gift, then our online order forms make it easy.

Reasons to call us for ordering:

Office Quotes: If you’re a larger company and want to look at providing fruit for over 500 people or in multiple locations around the United States then we’d love to customize a quote for you. We often can find pricing and distribution efficiencies for you as the orders get larger and we’re happy to help you meet your budgetary goals.

Schools: If you are interested in our FFVP program our PTO/PTA program then you’ll have to give us a call as these programs generally take talking through as we need to understand the size of your school, your goals budgets etc... Call 877-FRUIT-ME and ask for Carol.

What we need to know when you order: You pick how much, how often and what type of fruit crate you want delivered. Once your account is set up, you can start receiving farm-fresh fruit the very next day.

You'll also save on accounting and cost tracking when you pick the payment method that suits your company best - whether credit card, terms or purchase order.

Taste the Quality

Our buyers are hard at work early in the morning every day, selecting for quality and taste among fruits that were picked fresh from the field just hours earlier. When the fruit arrives at our warehouse later in the day, we carefully inspect each case, making certain that it meets our exacting standards. Then, that same afternoon as we hand pack your order, each piece of fruit is examined once again for quality, taste and ripeness. You receive this hand-selected fruit the next day.

This 3-step process allows us to ensure that you will receive only the best from us — crisp, juicy apples, sweet-to-eat bananas, succulent oranges — plus the best of seasonal favorites like plums, nectarines, peaches and more.

Our Ripening Standards
In order to satisfy as many different tastes as possible, we aim to deliver fruit on the "breaking" end of ripeness. This means that a perfect FruitGuys banana is slightly yellowish with green tips, a pear is firm with hints of softening and the flesh of a peach is barely starting to give. Some people like their fruit firm while others like it very soft and ripe. By bringing fruit at the beginning stages of ripeness we hope to satisfy everyone.

We're committed to quality that starts with the fruit we select and ends only when you're completely satisfied with your order. Concern for the Environment
We use eco-friendly packaging. Our uniquely designed boxes are made from between 75% to 100% post-consumer recycled cardboard (depending on area) and printed with soy-based inks. In the SF Bay Area, we pick them up for reuse. In other areas, please feel free to use them for things like file storage (they have been designed to fit standard sized file folders) or you can recycle them. Please do not throw them in the trash as recycling them will ensure they are kept in the recycling/reuse system. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 650-246-1200.

Delivery Details and Deadlines
We deliver nationwide Tuesday through Friday, with Monday delivery an option in many areas. Email info@fruitguys.com or call 877-378-4863 to check if Monday is available in your area. Orders received by 10am Monday through Thursday can be delivered the following business day or select your preferred schedule on the order form.
