You Eat the Fruit. The Earth Eats the Box!

We've designed our new crate to look more attractive in your office, expand our environmentally friendly standard and allow us to ship weekly fruit to offices both locally and nationwide.
The FruitGuys produce stand in your office
Our new crates have been designed to not only look prettier but also act functionally for you. Not only do they have a built in handle (the double lid when closed) but they are an "in office fruit stand". Just flip the top lid back, fold the flaps under the box and lean against a wall or secure with binder clips. The fruit will be presented in the box at an angle for easy access. Plus the newsletter on the front flap gives your employees a way to learn about the fruits that they are eating.
A shippable crate, padded with corn
The design of this crate allows us to deliver to you plus ship overnight to offices outside of the Bay Area. On our shipped crate, we have partnered with the only manufacturer of corn-based foam insulation. The foam in the shippable product dissolves under water into a harmless corn liquid which contains natural elements that add nutrients to the soil. We are the only fruit shipping company (gift or office service) that leaves no foam left behind to clog up our garbage dumps. (Most shipping foam is polypropylene.)
Our environmental goals
In designing this crate we wanted to create something that &#8212 like the fruit itself &#8212 could be completely absorbed by those using the product. Thus this crate:
1. Is printed with water soluble, soy based inks & uses no glues or staples.
2. Is made with 70-80% post consumer paper and previously recycled cardboard.
3. Can be reused (locally) or recycled.
4. Makes use of corn-based foam padding that dissolves under water and creates no trash in our garbage dumps (shippable product outside of Bay Area).
5. Our excelsior (local delivery) is made from shaved wood residue and can be reused.
6. You eat the fruit. The earth eats the box!
