What is wellness? We think a great deal about that question here at The FruitGuys. Wellness, in our view, not only applies to personal health but also community health. We try to take a big picture look at who and where we serve and understand how we can provide wellness to our larger community. You may have read about FruitGuys Farm Steward Program that helps our farmers by supporting sustainable practices.
We also support a small home delivery business in San Francisco's Bay View-Hunters Point neighborhood run by three young women entrepreneurs. We donate fruit every week to their company, Somethin' Fresh, and they provide door-to-door service in this area of the city which traditionally has had limited access to high-quality fruit.

Many homebound seniors and low-income individuals benefit from their affordable service. The group recently had their bio-diesel truck labeled with their new Somethin' Fresh logo.

The Berkeley Wellness Letter If you haven't introduced your employees to this award-winning nutrition newsletter, now is a great time to do so. A free print version is provided in your crate the second week of every month, plus employees can access the online archive anytime with your FruitGuys password. The password for August is Water.
Pedometers and Walking Clubs We've given away more than 4,500 pedometers to clients who started walking club programs. If you are a weekly FruitGuys customer, we will provide you with a walking club how-to plan and pedometers for free!!! Some limits apply. For more information, contact us.
