Happy New Pear!

Can you believe it? Two-thousand-aught-nine. If you're like me, you're wondering, just where do the days go? And whatever happened to Y2K? Fear not, FruitFriends, while we help you track the seasons of growth and harvest in the fruit world, we realize that in the information age, some folks need more precise data management tools. So, now you too can have up-to-the-within-24-hours-notice time accuracy available in your office, courtesy of The FruitGuys! Our stylish paper calendar highlights each and every date in 2009 with a perfectly symmetrical box, numbered for your convenience to keep you abreast of how many more days until your next FruitGuys delivery. You'll find this free gift calendar in your FruitGuys crate this week as a Happy New Year token of our appreciation for your business and FruitFriendShip. It's a reminder that we guarantee 100% fruit satisfaction, 365 days a year. If you'd like some extra copies, just contact us at 1-877-FRUIT-ME or info@fruitguys.com. Enjoy while supplies last!
So, speaking of Happy New Pear—I'm absolutely head over heels recently for the French Butter Pears from Stillwater Orchards in Courtland, CA. Our West Coast customers will find these in their crates as well as Bartlett, Comice, and Bosc pears, all from Stillwater Orchards. East Coast and Midwest customers will see gorgeous Red and Green D'Anjous. Start the year with nutrition galore - a single pear can provide up to 24% of your recommended daily allowance of fiber, as well as healthy amounts of Potassium and Vitamin C.
East Coast customers should also look out for the first Blood Oranges of the year, lovingly procured by Bloodhound Gang Benn, our fruit buyer who encourages customers to count "3-2-1-Contact" as they place the red segments in their mouth. Remember, you can always check out your regional mix here.
Enjoy and be Fruitful, and have a Happy New Pear (or Blood Orange) in the New Year!
