Fruit It Forward

donationsWhat really goes on when your workplace is closed for the holidays? Do the phone lines start flashing to a dance beat? Task chairs turn into lounge chairs? Copy machines start jamming to Stairway to Heaven? Your office may be getting a well-deserved break, but rest assured that The FruitGuys fruit will still be on duty if you select Donate-A-Crate this holiday season. Your fruit will go on to those in need—and you can choose which of our regional food banks or non-profit groups you would like it to go to.

Demand at food banks has never been higher. Your office fruit can go to any of several food distribution centers providing food for hungry people—for example, the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The Depository supplies food to 678,000 people, a third of them children, through 650 different pantries and soup kitchens. “The quality of the fruit was outstanding,” says the Depository’s Tom Hayes of FruitGuys’ Donate-A-Crate program. “We’re glad to have it.”

On the West Coast, your fruit can go to non-profits such as the Bay Area’s Riley Center, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Project Open Hand, the Sophia Project, and YEAH! Back East, your fruit can help communities in need served by non-profits Philabundance and New York–based City Harvest.

If your office is closed or minimally staffed this holiday season, please consider forwarding your fruit. Just call 1-877-FRUITME or email us at Visit for more details.

Enjoy & Be Fruitful!
