We sat down with farmers Vince and Vicki of Bernard Ranches in Riverside, California to discuss their family-run sustainable farm.
This 20-acre farm started in the early ’80s and is home to flavorful citrus, some of the most common being heirloom navels, Washington Navel Orange, and Star Ruby Grapefruit. Regulated by farmer Vince, the whole farm is sustainable and is populated with beneficial insects, mulch, and more. Bernard Ranches is a “hands-on operation” as all the picking, weeding, etc. is done by hand. These devoted farmers have a spirited love for the land!
