What: Birchwood Breakfast Blend, medium roast, ground, 12 oz.
Flavor: Smooth, mild acidity, with aromas of roasted hazelnut, graham, smoke & vanilla and tasting hints of bittersweet chocolate, honey, and cedar.
Origins: Fair trade, shade grown from farm partners in Peru and Sumatra.
About: Peace Coffee has been roasting fair trade, organic coffee in Minneapolis since 1996. We began purchasing coffee from Guatemala in 1997 after a partnership with Nobel Peace Prize winner, Rigoberta Menchu. Inspired by the Guatemalan Peace Accords signed in 1996, we originally sold this offering as Guatemalan Peace Coffee. The Peace Coffee name stuck as we continued to seek partnerships with farmers and coffee-growing cooperatives in other countries. We are been committed to 100% fair trade certified, organic coffee grown by small-scale farmers. These small-scale farmers are members of local cooperatives, which help them to organize, advocate for their rights, and share in profits as a collective group.
What: Nordico blend, medium roast, ground, 12 oz.
Flavor: Smooth, sweet and chocolatey, with hints of berries, orange, cinnamon and hazelnut.
Origins: Blended from stellar Brazilian coffees from small family farms in the Sul de Minas region with Costa Rica La Pachuca, a classic Tarrazú coffee.
About: One Village Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster in Philadelphia and was a founding certified B Corp in 2007 and the first certified coffee roaster.
