Lost income and school closings are significantly increasing the number of people struggling with food security. The hunger relief organizations across the country we partner with are telling us of the unprecedented demand for food and the increase in people who have never been to a food bank before.
At the outset of the pandemic, long-standing clients Ryan Scheiber & Matt Quirie, former coworkers at ROI DNA, wanted to send our fruit to hospitals and healthcare workers. Others followed to send fruit to food banks and school meal distribution sites. Since then, generous donors have purchased nearly 500,000 servings of fruit.

Where does my fruit go? Your donation will be sent to a charity or location in need other than the one you designated in order to avoid fruit waste and distribute fruit more evenly to those in need. You will receive a receipt upon delivery of your donation indicating where your fruit was delivered.

Our Zero Food Waste Policy
Since our business began in 1998, we have had a policy of zero food waste. Each week we donate all excess and imperfect fresh fruit to hunger relief organizations in the communities we serve, rather than re-selling it. Since 2000, The FruitGuys has donated more thanĀ 15 million servings of fresh fruit to food banks and charities across the country.
