How Small Farms Are Putting Their 2024 Farm Grants to Work

Supporting small farms is a major part of our mission at The FruitGuys. We source fruit from independent farms for our fruit boxes whenever we can, and we also award farm grants every year through The FruitGuys Community Fund (TFGCF). 

2024 Small Farm Grants

Earlier in 2024, TFGCF awarded farm grants to twenty small farms and agricultural nonprofits from sixteen different states. It was the biggest class of grantees so far! Each farm pledged to use its grant funds for sustainability projects on the farm, including everything from installing a solar dehydrator to planting a pollinator hedgerow that supports local bees and butterflies. 

Before receiving their awards in the spring, each farmer agreed to send updates on their projects to TFGCF in August. Now, those updates are in—and we’re excited to share them with you.
