National Fruit at Work Day Highlights: Fun With FruitFits!

Yesterday was one of my favorite days of the year—National Fruit at Work Day! Every year on the first Tuesday of October, we’re honored to celebrate National Fruit at Work Day at The FruitGuys. It’s a holiday all about honoring the food that fuels our busy workdays.
This year, we celebrated not only by bringing fruit to offices like yours in our fruit boxes but by sharing our most fruit-forward fashions (aka FruitFits) and hosting a contest on social media. Here I am wearing my FruitFit: My grapefruit hair clip (even though you can’t see it), pineapple shirt, and kiwi earrings. Of course, I’m representing multiple fruits!
As the CEO of a fruit company, FruitFits are actually a pretty normal part of my wardrobe. I went on a work trip to Seattle last week with Nicole, our longest-standing employee and San Francisco operations manager, and our fruit earrings were a great conversation starter. Check out the photo below to see Nicole and I sporting watermelon and kiwi earrings, respectively.
The rest of the FruitGuys team dressed up for National Fruit at Work Day, too, and we invited our clients to join the fun by posting their own FruitFits on social media with the hashtag #FruitFit.
Here are some of the highlights from our employees around the country. They’re really wearing their love of fruit on their sleeves—some even got ‘inked’ with temporary fruit tattoos!
This National Fruit at Work Day was one for the books. Whether you participated in the shenanigans yesterday or not, I hope you ate a piece of fresh fruit.
