Sierra Beauty Apple

sierra-beauty-apple-lgMany claim to be Californians, but few are native. Joan Didion, Jerry Brown, and Dweezil Zappa notwithstanding. Sierra Beauty apples are indigenous to the golden state. The first saplings appeared in the Sierra foothills in the 1800s, then grew up in the Anderson Valley. Sierra Beauty apples are large and striped, crisp, and tart.
