What Fruit Is In Season Now? Your Summer Fruit Delivery Update

I can’t get enough summer stone fruit—we’re flying through it in my house. My sons have been known to eat at least four white nectarines or peaches a day! But that bounty is starting to wind down here in California as pears and grapes arrive. It’s bittersweet to watch it happen, but you might not see the same thing: In the Eastern and Western regions, we’re just hitting our stone fruit stride.
Here’s a quick update on the fruits you’ll see in our boxes around the country right now.
Eastern: A Local Stone Fruit Bonanza

We’re in full swing with our Pennsylvania farmers. We’ve already had a few weeks of local peaches, nectarines, and plums from Frecon Farms, Beechwood Orchards, and Kauffman Orchards. We should have local stone fruit into September. Apples will quickly follow, starting in mid-August with early apple varieties like the Smokehouse, a local, tart, yellow-gold apple with a red blush.
Central: Local Peaches Are Almost Here!
We’ve added California stone fruit to our Central mixes already, but the local season is just about to get rolling. We’re expecting peaches from Mick Klüg Farms in Michigan as soon as next week, with nectarines and plums right behind them.
Western: Pears, Grapes, and Special Bites

We’ve had a bounty of summer peaches, nectarines, plums, pluots, and more for at least a month across California. Our farm partners at Bernard Ranch are harvesting Valencia oranges, too, and California pears and grapes are arriving now. Grapes start in the southern part of the state, and the harvest moves north as the season continues into the fall. We’re seeing some fun specialty items too, like finger limes and passion fruits. Those should be available through the fall.
California apples will also start in August. One of our favorite early apples is the Gravenstein, an endangered heirloom apple that should arrive in mid-August. The Grav is one of our most anticipated crops of the year, and we pack it in its own special box.
A Final Note on Stone Fruit
We don’t have to say goodbye to our beautiful stone fruit quite yet. Hopefully, you’ll be able to enjoy it for at least six more weeks. (You can always check exactly what’s in your mix if you’re curious.) I plan to savor every bite so the memories can carry me through until next summer!
