General

  • Fresh fruit brings wellness into the workplace, boosts morale, and increases productivity. When you invest in your staff and workplace wellness program by providing healthy eating options like fresh fruit, you are repaid in greater output, improved loyalty, increased employee retention, and potentially lower healthcare costs. Learn more about the ROI benefits of fruit at work in The FruitGuys White Paper.

  • The FruitGuys delivers a variety of whole, unwashed fruit to offices, homes, and schools nationwide. We proudly support local farms in regions across the country and buy as much seasonal fruit as possible directly from farmers, packing it securely in our patented crates, and delivering it next day.

  • You can have fresh fruit delivered to your office for under a dollar per employee per week. We offer different fruit mixes and crate sizes and are happy to tailor a proposal that fits your fruit needs and your budget.

  • If you're ever unhappy with the quality of the fruit we deliver, we will replace it or issue a credit immediately, no hassle. We want you to be delighted with your fresh fruit delivery every time. We want to know of any quality issues so we can constantly improve our own policies and procedures.

  • The vast majority of our customers receive weekly office fruit deliveries, however we are happy to work with you to find a schedule that works best for your office and budget. Fresh fruit at work is part of a solid workplace wellness program and employees value this healthy benefit. Office morale goes up when the fresh fruit arrives and having regular weekly deliveries means no time wasted on placing orders when you run out of fruit.

  • We require at least two business days prior to the delivery date to guarantee any changes. We want to make sure you get the best quality seasonal fruit available and this deadline allows us to prepare and ship the box to you most efficiently.

  • Unfortunately, our website does not yet allow customers to make changes or cancellations online. Simply email info@fruitguys.com or call Customer Service at 1-877-FRUIT-ME (877-378-4863) and we will be happy to assist you.

  • The FruitGuys is an environmentally friendly company, and our patented FruitCrates™ are made from recycled cardboard (approximately 75% post-consumer) and printed with water-based inks. In many delivery areas, they can be picked up and returned to our warehouse for reuse. Contact us to find out if your crates can be picked up.

  • Yes! We offer discounts for our farm-fresh fruit mixes based on quantity of fruit ordered, with further reductions available for contract pricing. Please fill out this form—a member of our team will contact you to help determine the best and most delicious solution for your office.

  • The FruitGuys currently has five warehouses across the U.S. that allow us to source locally and ship regionally. We are headquartered in South San Francisco with additional locations in Southern California, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Phoenix.

Produce

  • Our FruitCrates™ are available in three sizes: 16, 25, and 50 servings. The actual number of pieces varies depending on what is in the mix each week, but in general, we consider one piece of fruit equal to one serving. If we add small-sized fruits like pixie tangerines or apricots, we will include two pieces per serving; one clamshell of berries is 2–3 servings, and one bag of grapes is 4–6 servings, depending on the variety and farm.

  • Our buyers work very hard to source the freshest and tastiest fruit available in each region to set a fruit “mix” for each crate each week. To see exactly what is in the mix in your region, visit our mix pages at fruitguys.com/mix.

  • Each crate contains an assortment of the best and most unique fruit available. This means the contents of your fruit crate may vary from one week to the next depending on what's in season, what’s being picked that week, and what looks and tastes best to our buying team. For example, if rain has affected a region where our organic strawberries are grown, we may not have strawberries that week because the best was not available.

  • We are happy to make some customizations to your crate. We can omit unwanted items and include extras of other produce in your mix. If you find that certain items are an office favorite (bananas seem to be the most popular for many of our customers), let us know and we can try to include more of the favored item. Just email info@fruitguys.com or call Customer Service at 1-877-FRUIT-ME (877-378-4863) to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

  • The FruitGuys produce is sourced from small, independent, and family-run farms near our regional production hubs when seasonally possible. Due to seasonality and weather constraints, we are not able to source exclusively from all of these farms year round. To see exactly where your produce is coming from, visit The FruitGuys “What's in the Mix” page at fruitguys.com/mix.

  • Different fruit have different shelf lives. We deliver stone fruit and pears firm as they are less likely to bruise during transit and will continue to ripen. Other fruit, berries for example, should be eaten within two to three days of delivery. Items such as apples or oranges will last a week or more depending on how they are stored. See Fresh Fruit Storage & Ripening Tips for more information.

  • We always recommend it. Whether organic or conventional, fruit is grown outside under the sun and stars. Since our fruit is fresh from the field, we suggest that you rinse it under cool running water immediately before you enjoy it, and don’t forget to wash your hands as well!

  • Smaller fruit often has less water but the same amount of sugar as the larger fruit you see, resulting in a much richer taste. We focus on flavor and supporting small, local, and family-run farms as much as possible. We send our buyers to visit farms, meet farmers, and taste fresh produce at its peak before we buy, and we pride ourselves on offering fruit with superior flavor.

  • Yes, The FruitGuys is a certified organic food handler through CCOF. All of our Organic mixes follow strict USDA protocol for sourcing and handling of organic produce.
