ONCE AGAIN NUT BUTTER AT A GLANCE
Jeremy Thaler and Constance Potter started Once Again Nut Butter in 1976 with a secondhand coffee roaster and a dream. At first, they used the roaster to make granola. But when a friend suggested they try roasting nuts, they ran with the idea! Today, Once Again makes organic nut and seed butters without sweeteners or preservatives and turns them into tasty graham cracker sandwiches.
The company got its name from its founders (serial entrepreneurs who were “once again” starting a business) and its logo from Rocky the raccoon. Rocky was one of several raccoon kits the team found on their original factory site, nursed, and released back into the wild.
Once Again has also been 100% employee-owned since 2006, so its snacks pair perfectly with Employee Appreciation Day. Every graham sandwich you purchase supports the team that made it!

SUN & SWELL AT A GLANCE
Until 2019, Bryan Flynn thought that most plastic snack packaging was recyclable. Then, he and his wife Kate cofounded Sun & Swell, and he discovered the truth: Almost every trail mix bag and snack bar wrapper they made would end up in the landfill.
“It was kind of a chilling moment for us,” he told The FruitGuys. “We realized this whole industry is based on these types of [nonrecyclable] materials, and they’re really bad for the planet.”
Bryan and Kate decided to break the cycle. In 2020, they started packing their trail mixes, roasted nuts, dried fruits, and bars in compostable packaging. Customers without municipal composting can even mail the wrappers back to them to compost!
Today, Sun & Swell is a certified women-owned B Corp business, and it’s still on a mission to reduce single-use plastic for the sake of the ocean and future generations. This Earth Month, you can make your break room a bit greener with Sun & Swell’s trail mix.

Grace Cheng is a former fashion model who turned her quest for a nutritious breakfast into the successful oatmeal company Mylk Labs. When she launched the business in 2017, Grace prioritized nutrition and embraced sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly ingredients like upcycled almond meal, glyphosate-free oats, and coconut sugar into her products. The name “Mylk” denotes the creamy almond meal texture, while “Labs” reflects Grace’s “nutrition-first approach” to product formulation.
