RULE BREAKER SNACKS AT A GLANCE
Before starting Rule Breaker Snacks, Nancy worked as a certified health coach, health journalist, and cookbook editor. Despite knowing how to eat and cook the “right” foods, her sweet tooth often led her off track. Determined to create a healthier treat, she developed a plant-based, clean-ingredient brownie to satisfy her cravings.
In 2014, Nancy launched Rule Breaker Snacks, offering chickpea-based brownies, cookies, and bites that cater to people with food allergies and dietary preferences. Every snack is vegan, free from the top eleven allergens, certified gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher, and made with sustainably sourced ingredients. UNDERCOVER SNACKS AT A GLANCE
Undercover is a true family business, run by CEO and Co-owner Diana Levy, her husband Michael, and one of their daughters. Diana has a longtime passion for chocolate and started her company making fancy confections. But when two of her kids were diagnosed with celiac disease, she spun her business model around and started making better-for-you, certified gluten-free treats in 2017.
Undercover specializes in clusters of crisped quinoa dunked in chocolate (and we mean dunked—Diana’s recipes use an almost 50/50 ratio of chocolate to quinoa). The crisps are a great source of protein and fiber, and the Levys make them in an eco-friendly, solar powered facility in East Hanover, New Jersey. They even keep sustainability in mind when sourcing ingredients, like their Rainforest Alliance-certified chocolate!

THEIR STORY
Grace Cheng is a former fashion model who turned her quest for a nutritious breakfast into the successful oatmeal company Mylk Labs. When she launched the business in 2017, Grace prioritized nutrition and embraced sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly ingredients like upcycled almond meal, glyphosate-free oats, and coconut sugar into her products. The name “Mylk” denotes the creamy almond meal texture, while “Labs” reflects Grace’s “nutrition-first approach” to product formulation.
