FIELD TRIP AT A GLANCE
Salty, savory, and protein-packed: That’s the experience your team will get with every bite of a Field Trip meat stick. College friends Tom Donigan, Matt Levey, and Scott Fiesinger started the company from their New York City apartment in 2010. They’d just tried their first craft jerky on a ski trip, and they loved it so much that they decided to make their own! They took to the city streets with backpacks full of samples, biking from store to store to find customers.
The jerky was a hit! Now, Field Trip also makes meat sticks in flavors like Carne Asada and Pepperoni. They spend a lot of time in the kitchen perfecting each bite. “We’ve had flavors that have taken us upwards of thirty-three rounds of R&D,” Matt Levey told The FruitGuys.
And impressively, they do it all with grass-fed beef, vegetarian-fed pork, and free-range turkey, and without any gluten, dairy, preservatives, or artificial flavors.
