One of the things I love the most about working at The FruitGuys is that we have truly amazing clients. There’s a real desire in our community to come together and help each other through corporate giving, especially in hard times like the government shutdown we’re facing right now.
Last week, I posted a blog about The FruitGuys’ grocery donation to federal workers—and the outpouring of support was truly incredible! The messages I got were so kind and generous that they inspired me to share another way that you can help your community this holiday season: by participating in our Donate-a-Crate program.

Spread Holiday Cheer with Donate-a-Crate
We created Donate-a-Crate for offices that get recurring fruit and snack deliveries from us. A lot of those offices (maybe like yours) close on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. With Donate-a-Crate you can “fruit it forward” and send your scheduled deliveries on to a charity of your choice while your office is closed.
We handle all of the corporate giving logistics and even have a list of local hunger relief organizations you can pick from, like Project Open Hand in San Francisco and Remake the World Veteran Center in Chicago.
In 2024, our clients donated an incredible 636 boxes of fruit and snacks to people in need. That’s enough to feed 26,930 people—more than half of a Major League Baseball stadium!
Donate-a-Create is an easy way to donate fruit to your community during the holidays, and you don’t have to be in an office or have recurring deliveries to participate. You can order a box specifically to donate, and we’ll deliver it for you.
How to ‘Fruit it Forward’

This is going to be a difficult holiday season for a lot of people if the government shutdown continues, so I think this program—and corporate giving in general—is more important now than ever. If you’d like to participate in Donate-a-Crate this year, just reach out to our amazing customer service team and let them know where to send your holiday box(es).
Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. I’m so proud of the community we’ve built and the good we do together!
