Donate, Don’t Cancel During Holiday Closures

As the holiday season approaches, we want to thank you for your business and share how The FruitGuys Donate-a-Crate program makes it easy to forward deliveries or purchase fruit to send to people in need.

You can forward your scheduled delivery to any charity on our list of community partners in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Philadelphia, New York, Maryland, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta. You can also designate a charity of your choosing within our regular distribution areas. If your organization wants to be a Fruit Hero, consider ordering fruit for a charity in your community for the holidays.

Office Closing for the Holidays?
If your office plans to close for the holidays (or any time of year), instead of canceling your delivery, just contact customer service at info@fruitguys.com or by calling 1-877-FRUIT-ME (877-378-4863), and we will set up your fruit forwarding and deliver your order to a local charity on your behalf. There is no additional cost for this delivery as long as it is within our regular distribution area.

FruitGuys 2022 Holiday Closures
The FruitGuys will be closed and not making deliveries on the following days so our team members can enjoy the holidays. If your delivery falls on a day of closure, you will need to reschedule, donate, or cancel that delivery. Email or call customer service Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-5 p.m. PST and we’ll take care of the rest. Or use this contact form. We will send email reminders to weekly delivery clients.

Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25.

Thank You to 2021’s Generous Donors

Thanks to the generosity of so many clients, an incredible 3,781 boxes were donated to hunger relief partners in 2021. These fed 196,251 people in need! These donations also supported the network of small, independent farms and food producers that we source from.

“The Donate-a-Crate program that The FruitGuys created is greatly appreciated by our clients. Not only is the quality wonderful, the boxes include varieties that our clients normally don’t get a chance to try,” said Michael McCormick, director of operations for San Francisco–based Project Open Hand, which produces 2,500 meals each day and provides groceries to an average of 125 people daily, including critically ill and senior residents in San Francisco and Oakland.
“Thank you to all FruitGuys clients that think of us each year when they choose a recipient for their fruit boxes.”
