Meet The B Corps Behind Our 2023 Holiday Gift Baskets

Here at The FruitGuys, we have high standards for everything from the taste of our fruit to the speed of our deliveries. So it’s no surprise that when we source delicious products for our holiday gift baskets, we seek out partners who share our vision of a more equitable, sustainable, and fruitful future. Luckily, there’s an easy way to spot some of them: The B Corp Certification. 

What is a B Corp? 

B Corps are for-profit businesses that meet the highest standards of independently verified social and environmental performance, accountability, and public transparency. What a mouthful!

Put simply, earning a B Corp Certification is a long, grueling process. To get one, you have to let the nonprofit network B Lab put your business under a microscope. They judge your worthiness based on everything from your employee benefits to your charitable giving and the sustainability of your supply chain. Their analysis can take months!

Here are just a few of the mission-driven B Corps we’ve partnered with to curate our gift baskets. 

• Steeped Coffee – A California-based, eco-friendly coffee company specializing in travel-ready, single-serve coffee bags in compostable packaging. 
• Teatulia – A woman- and minority-owned tea business located in Colorado whose organic teas provide a living wage, education, and more to Bangladeshi tea workers. 
• GloryBee – An Oregon-based, family-run honey business whose SAVE the BEE initiative has dedicated nearly $1 million to protecting pollinators. 
• Partake – A woman- and BIPOC-owned baked goods company in New Jersey offering allergy-friendly, non-GMO, vegan treats and working with No Kid Hungry to fight food insecurity. 
• The Gluten Free Brothers (aka The GFB) – A family-run, Michigan-based company making delicious gluten-free bars, bites, and oatmeal in a zero-waste facility that operates on renewable energy. 
• Lake Champlain Chocolates – A Vermont-based gourmet chocolate company whose delicious desserts support local conservation and refugee resettlement efforts. 

These companies share our commitment to using business as a source for good in the world. This holiday season, they joined forces with us to create The B Bounty Box.*

Why Gifting Good Matters
