Looking for Corporate Event Ideas? Try a Pop-Up Farmers Market

There’s something magical about farmers markets. My family and I love strolling through the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in San Francisco, greeting the growers The FruitGuys works with, and taking in the rainbow of fresh produce. My sons’ favorite traditions are climbing on the Gandhi statue and eating fresh strawberries—or whatever fruit is in season—by the handful.
At The FruitGuys, we do our best to bring that same magic into our clients’ offices with our pop-up farmers markets. We set up tables overflowing with colorful, seasonal fruits and vegetables and invite employees to fill a bag.

When we did this for one client a few weeks ago, the line of employees wrapped around an entire floor of their office! It isn’t just the free produce that gets teams excited at these events. It’s also the chance to grab items they might not buy for themselves (like Romanesco or Flavor Grenade pluots), connect with their coworkers away from their desks, and get recipe ideas from our staff.
Hot Summer Events: Farmers Markets and Fruit Tastings
We do events like farmers markets and tastings all year long, but we’ve seen an increase in requests this August. Our clients are looking for fresh ways to support employee wellbeing during National Wellness Month, and we’re honored to be part of those celebrations! If you’re searching for corporate event ideas that will bring joy and wellness to work, a farmers market pop-up is a fun option.

I’m happy to say that a lot of our clients support employee wellness year-round. They bring in our fresh fruit, subsidize gym memberships, and provide access to meditation or yoga classes for their teams. I think this consistent commitment is important, but so is shaking things up with the occasional on-site event. Wellness activities like free farmers markets or fruit tastings bring some fun to the office and help keep employees inspired, engaged, and invigorated.

More Corporate Event Ideas
Of course, wellness isn’t just about physical health; it’s also about mental health! That’s why we partner with Shannan Slevin of WellFests on a lot of our corporate wellness events. As a yoga teacher, she helps us provide virtual and in-person yoga and meditation classes. She’s even run assemblies for the schools we serve, teaching mindfulness, goal-setting, and age-appropriate exercises to kids.
If you’d like to learn about our event options and get more corporate wellness event ideas, you can check out the events page on our website. Whether you decide to work with us or someone else, I hope you plan at least one event this year. Showing sincere interest in your employees’ wellbeing will go a long way toward keeping them happy, healthy, and working hard.
